Campaign against Chaild Marriage was the first of it's kind and has featured in National Dalies and Magazines including India Today, Outlook Express, Lokayat, The Times of India, Indian Express and Hitavada.
It was under the leadership of Mr. G.S.Mishra that Rajnandgaon became the first district in the state of Chattisgarh to implement the "Kanyadaan Yojna" successfully.
Mr. Mishra was the first Administrator to conceptualise the "Kishori Balika Samooh" and implement it successfully.
History was created in the year 2006 when there was not a single casuality in the form of accidents during the Dongargarh Fair. Never had this been so successfully organised.
The Dongargarh fair was so successful that the experts named Shri. Mishra's effort as the "Rajnandgaon Pattern" and was adopted as a model by different administrators and law makers.
The arrangement under the supervision of Mr. Mishra in Dongargarh fair was so good that it was compared with those of Amarnath and Vaishno Devi pilgrimage arrangements.
Gokul Nagar Yogna was implemented in the District of Rajnandgaon within a record period of 8 months. The honorable Chief Minister of Chattisgarh ordered other administrators to adopt Mr. Mishra's effort as a role model.
He got 7258 L.T.T operations performed and surpassed the subdivisional set target of 4469 by 162%. He organised the largest camp of the country in Sambalpur at Navagarh Block in which 1400 LTT operations were performed within 24 hours, surpassing the target of the block by 200%. As SDO in Kavardha (district Rajnandgaon), he surpassed the target of subdivision by 123% and earned fame at National level as he surpassed the target successfully for 2 years. This is a National Racord in implementation of family welfare programs in India.
He Organised the LARGEST CATARACT CAMP in the State of Chattisgarh, India, where a record number of 5037 operations were successfully performed in 11 days.
He created a National Record in organising a Sickle Cell Camp where a record number of 1,70,000 persons were examined.
Created a National REcord in a place called Kphka where 2700 persons were examined and blood samples collected for the purpose in 24 hours.
Became a pioneer in implementing the "TOTAL SANITATION CAMPAIGN" program in the district of Rajnandgaon, Chattisgarh, India. It is the only district in the State where a proposal regarding declaration of 13 Gram Panchayats as Nirmal Grams was sent to the Govt. Of India. Out of 13 proposals, 12 Gram Panchayats have qualified as Nirmal Grams.
It is hard to believe that out of 29465 private toilets constructed in Chattisgarh, 22122 were constructed in Rajnandgaon district itself, where Mr. G.S.Mishra was the Collector.
